Should school athletes have to take drug tests?

Of course!  It’s not as if student athletes suddenly don’t need an equal playing field, no student athletes use steroids, or it’s harmful to the student  to pee in a cup.  Assuming the drugs in question are anabolic steroids, athletes should definitely need a drug test.  If this drug test includes drugs such as alcohol or other illegal drugs for minors, then if any of those drugs improve performance, then they should be part of the drug test.  Otherwise, they shouldn’t be tested.  For example, if alcohol has no positive effect on athletic performance, that should not be part of the test.  Even though alcohol is illegal for minors, it has nothing to do with that certain activity.  People don’t need a drug test to take certain tests, because those drugs don’t have a positive effect on the performance.
